The Aboriginal Health & Wellness Centre of Winnipegis a community and culturally based centre that provides holistic services to the Aboriginal community of Winnipeg. The Centre’s programs include Head Start, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Education Program, Abincotci Mino-Ayawin (Children’s Healing), Healthy Child Program, Medicine Wheel Awareness Workshop and a Men’s Healing and Wellness Program.

Community Legal Education Association (CLEA)
As part of its services, Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) offers the Law Phone-in and Lawyer Referral Program. This program provides free legal information, not legal advice, to callers. It can also refer callers to other legal agencies for help or to lawyers who practice in particular areas of the law for a free half-hour consultation.
As a not-for-profit organization, CLEA also provides information about the law, a speakers’ bureau, coordination of law classes and workshops for community organizations, youth and seniors groups, and information on availability of legal publications. CLEA also produced a helpful brochure called “Legal Tips for Single Parents”.
